Copies of the two similar editions of the conference held by André Breton at the Comédie at the Champes-Elysées about the black humour (term coined by himself) during the literary conferences organized at the World's Fair in Paris in 1937, of which one presentation copy dedicated by André Breton to Edmond Bomsel. Both copies without number from a total edition of 30. In good condition. 2 works, 8vo (186 x 137, 183 x 136mm). Some texts and quotes read by Bréton during the conference, reproduced in a curious typographical structure with a photographical creation by the author himself printed on coated paper, in the copy with orange wrappers the first and last 4 pages are printed on green paper and page 14 is blank, so without the text of De Sade, as indeed in the blue wrappers copy (for the collation see www.andrebreton.fr). One copy with orange original wrappers, the other with blue wrappers, both printed in black and with the cover illustrated by Yves Tanguy (lightly rubbed).
