The Department of 19th and 20th century Paintings and Sculptures, one of the historic sectors of the auction house and reference point for 19th century collectors, closed the year 2019 with a total turnover of 1.6 million euros, as a result of an ever expanding market abroad due also to a careful selection and the absolute and undisputed quality of the works.

The presence of a young audience in the room is quite significant and reflects the generational change and the renewed interest in paintings of this period.

"International graphics and Venetian views confirm the trend of the moment" says Matteo Gardonio, director of the department.
