Folio (524 x 320mm). 100 engraved maps with contemporary handcolouring including the allegorical frontispiece, the double-page maps and celestial plates by Danckerts, de Ram, Schenk, Doppelmayr and others, title in red and black with engraved vignette, index, woodcut initials and headpieces, on guards (tiny wormholes to first guards, some leaves reinforced at the inner margin, index slightly shorter, occasional tears, occasional light browning). Contemporary blindstamped calf decorated with a globe on the covers, gilt spine (expertly rebacked preserving the original spine, some other restorations and minor rubbing).
