First edition of a grammar of spoken and written Arabic. The author was a Franciscan missionary who lived for a decade in Palestine and Syria. 8vo (160 x 100mm). In Arabic and Latin. Title within woodcut border and with woodcut device, initials, 4 folding tables at pp. 67-68, 53, 54 and 339 (plates browned as in other copies, some waterstaining and light browning). Contemporary vellum, manuscript title on spine, speckled edges (light stains).
