A fine album of plates representing the major palaces and monuments of London. Among the engravings many depict the interior and esterior of Crystal Palace, built in 1851 for the first Gret Exhibition. Oblong folio (270 x 370mm). Title with vignette of Crystal Palace and 35 plates of which one folding and another used as frontispiece (some spotting mainly marginal). Original blue cloth decorated in gilt and blind, gilt edges (extremities lightly rubbed, upper joint starting, text block partially separated from binding).
