A rich collection of engravings representing customs and popular scenes of Roman life. Oblong 4to (282 x 422mm). An engraved title and 50 numbered engraved plates, on lead paper (two different watermarks), large margins (spotting, waterstaining in the lower margin, stains). Contemporary cardboard binding (lacking most of spine with only traces of leather remaining, rubbed). Provenance: paper labels probably related to ancient signatures of private libraries.
