A pair of fine spinach-green jade hu vases and covers, each with twin elephant head handles suspending loose rings, the body finely carved with detailed taotie masks above stylised geometric motifs, the foot slightly splayed, each cover surmounted by a double flowers finial flanked by elaborate stylised archaistic dragons embellished with further small loose rings, the stone of a vibrant spinach green tone with natural lighter and darker inclusions, each with incised apocryphal Qianlong six-character seal mark in a square, with carved wood stands with silver decoration (losses) (h. 33 cm.)
