Jewels Auction results: Kashmir sapphire awarded at 750,000 euro

Exceptional results for the Jewellery auction of November 14 and 15, which concluded with a turnover of 3,302,838 €, 87% of lots sold and 200% increase on initial value.

The top auction lot was the ring with the sapphire from Kashmir awarded at € 750,000, estimated at € 130,000 / € 180,000 (lot 977). "The great interest from the international public for the Kashmir Sapphire reconfirm the rarity and uniqueness of these gems. The strong saturation and the color tone have driven buyers to offer more than € 83,000 per carat "says Luca Ghirondi, director of the department.

Significant results also for the ring with a heart-shaped diamond (lot 981) sold for375,000, the ring, signed Wolfers Freres, with a central diamond for 10.27 ct. at € 225,000 (lot 962) and the Van Cleef & Arpels earrings for € 175,000 € (lot 982). Much interest was noted in the hall and on the telephones, particularly by customers of Indian nationality, for the natural pearl necklace hammered down at € 187,500 (lot 933).

Also worth mentioning is the result obtained by the micromosaic representing "The Mill or Landscape with the Wedding of Isaac and Rebecca", commissioned by Camillo Pamphilj between 1646 and 1647, awarded at € 35,000 (lot 983).

"The packed hall, the numerous telephone bids and the strong online participation confirm the winning strategy of the department which gives great importance to quality and variety of jewels. As a matter of fact , many international clients have come specifically from places such as New York, Hong Kong, New Delhi ", concludes the Director.
