First edition of these works with a total of 31 plates (although the division differs slightly from that called for in SBN.it). The work comprises the first description of the chameleon, the origin of some mineral springs and mineral waters and other important medical and scientific innovations. The author was among the first doctors who used experiments in his theories in line with the Galilean spirit of the time. 3 parts in one volume, 4to (215 x 165mm). Title to all 3 works with author's portrait on verso, first work with 4 leaves after general title (SBN calls for p6), then A-2B4, 4 (of 5?) plates bound before the Kermes and VIII at the end of the vol; second work with 16 plates numbered 1-9 and X-XVI bound at end; third work with 2 plates (SBN calls just for one); (some occasional small clean marginal tear and scattered staining). Contemporary vellum, manuscript title on spine (some wear).
