Giovanni Battista Cipelli (1478-1553), best known under his academic name, Egnatius, is noted as one of the most accurate and scholarly Renaissance editors of classical Roman authors. 2 parts in one volume, folio (319 x 222mm). Printer's device on title and at end, woodcut historiated initials (lacking a2-a4 with the privilege, browned and waterstained, some minor repairs, final leaf with printer's device remargined, frontispiece corrected). 19th-century half vellum.
