FERRARI, Giovanni Pietro (attivo 1389-1416) - Practica iuris interpretis clarissimi. Venice: Francesco Rampazetto, 1572. The work, known also as "Practica Papiensis", had developed by accretion and comment from Ferrari's original collection of formulas used in civil, canonistic, and criminal procedures in early 15th century. The changes made in the present edition are in answer to objections raised by the Roman Curia in 1559. 4to (200 x 146mm). Printer's device on title, woodcut initials and headpiece, full-page woodcut illustration (without final blank, some light staining and spotting, two holes at final leaf just touching a few letters). Later vellum, title on spine, speckled edges (light stains). Provenance: few early underlinings.
