The Spring season sale dedicated to Asian art comprises more than 300 lots carefully selected from private houses to satisfy the appetite of the most demanding collectors.

In the Buddhist art section, a rare gilt bronze model of Guanyin is an exquisite example of the 17th century production.

Of great interest are the porcelains: an exquisite pair of 'hundred bats' dishes, with a Guangxu mark and of the period, a white-glazed 'mallow' cup and stand, each with a Yongzheng mark and of the period, a pair of blue and white 'cranes and trigrams' bowls, each with a Daoguang mark and of the period.In the paintings section, 'Shrimps' by Qi Baishi is a perfect example of the unique style of the artist: in its simplicity, the subject is characterised by a vibrant and expressive vitality.

Amongst the art belonging to the period of the Republic of China, we are delighted to present a selection of beautifully painted plaques, one by the artist Wang Bo.

For the metalworks, we are pleased to offer an elegant cloisonne' enamel tripod censer and cover, with a Qianlong mark and of the period.
For the carpets collectors, a Ningxia rug, decorated with blue dragons on a red ground, dated to the 19th century.
Of great interest is a large red coral branch carved with ladies and floral branches with a carved ivory stand.

For the Japanese art section, a selection of netsukes, okimonos, and Shibayama-decorated items.
